Prayers and Praises for Jordan

Due to my being out of work since October of 2004 and the limited income that we have, we have relyed on fund-raisers to afford the extra's that have been required; (ie: trips to Chicago to see the specialist for Dravet Syndrome, Dr. Linda Laux, air fair, etc.

We have provided a list of things that Jordan is needing below, that we cannot afford and we humbly ask if anyone can help, either with financial contributions or donations of items needed, we would be forever greatful!

We are in the process of hiring an attorney to initiate the necessary paper work to have a "Living Trust" set up for Jordan for all charitable donations to be sent to. There will be an executor of this account as per law requires. This is necessary so as to not take any funds away from her SSI and Secondary Insurance, which is an absolute necessity.

We will have a link for Pay Pal as soon as the paper work and account for Jordan is established.  In the meantime, just E-mail us @  prayersandpraisesforJordan@yahoo.com and we will let you know where to send a check or money order.  Or you can go to the "Contact Us"  tab and enter your information with personal notes and comments, (this tab too will send us your E-mail address).

List of Things We Need For Jordan and Our Goals for raising funds:

     A Special Fund Raiser has been set up for Jordan @ Ruta Maya's Jan. 30, 2010, here in Austin to try and raise enough money for her Seizure Service Dog or more if at all possible.

Things Jordan needs Specifically:

• Emfit Movement Monitor  (we have purchased this but are paying $50 per month and still owe $0.00! WAS PD OFF THANKS TO DONATIONS)
• New bed & frame (preferably a platform bed that is lower to the ground; full or queen size) $650?
• Laptop computer for home & school use and special computer programs to assist with learning diabilities/cognitive issues. $700? And special computer programs to assist in these disabilities $450?
  
• Attorney fee's for establishing a Living Trust for Jordan.  ($2800+FOR LIVING WILL AND SPECIAL NEEDS TRUST)
• Next appointment in Chicago is set for Sept. 10, 2009 and we need help with travel expenses, airfare, etc. ($0 THANKS TO DONATIONS FROM BETTY AND WES!  YOU ROCK, YOU'RE AWESOME!)
• Seizure Service Dog ($11,000?)
• Funds needed to pay off Medical Debt incurred over last 2 yrs - Approx. $3250?
• Construction or remodel of Jordan's bathroom (she only has 1/2 bath and we only have a shower stall in our home, (we have no bathtub at all).  Due to hyper/hypothermia from Dravet, better temperature controls would be a huge blessing and betterment for Jordan; She could also benefit from a walk-in bathtub unit due to her atexia & seizures.  Approximate cost is $4500.00?
